Holistic Animal Care with BEST, NAET, & Nutrition
Vickie Barkley, NP

BEST
Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique (BEST) is widely used by healthcare practitioners who practice mind/body healing and recognize the body is more than the sum of its parts. It is a state-of-the-art health care system that balances body/mind/memory/soul energy fields by removing interferences within these energetic fields that may be the cause of symptoms and health deterioration. Removing the interference allows your body to repair its damaged condition and rebuild itself.

Used world-wide in humans, BEST is now available for animal healing. BEST can balance animals by taking them out of the "fight or flight" state and returning them to a state of calm in which they can heal. BEST can also work in reverse for an animal whose energy is too low and needs to be stimulated to a level of healing.

How is BEST beneficial to your animals?
Increased Immunity
Increased Performance
Stimulated Cellular and Tissue Repair
Pain Relief
Behavioral Stability
Nutritional Support according to nature's design

For example, a horse and its rider are sometimes not compatible. If you know horses, you may have heard someone say, "He doesn't like men” or "He doesn't like women.” This might indicate a memory of abuse or just an incompatibility in the frequency of energy between the horse and the rider.

BEST can initiate a vibrational shift to assist the rider in working with, instead of against, the horse. Just as a human can meet someone and get a feeling of "I don't like that person,” a horse can act the same way.

A horse can read you like a book and start to play with you by running when you go to get him in the field. Yes, this is a training issue, but using BEST, the horse may also need to be balanced with the owner/rider for maximum performance or for pleasure as with a companion horse.

NAET
NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique) is a treatment that can be used on both humans and animals to check for allergies from what they eat, drink, touch, etc. It is a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to eliminate allergies using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures. Allergens for animals could range from shavings in the barn that give a horse hives or fabric softener used when washing a dog's bedding. Animal behavior, just as human behavior, can be altered by toxins in food and environment. Visit www.naet.com for more information.

NUTRITON
Another aspect of healing comes from proper nutrition. Historically horses and dogs roamed the prairies and fields, foraging selectively for foods. Horses instinctively ate herbs, weeds, and different grasses that they knew they needed. Then we took them off the prairie and fed them lush green grass, or dog food with fillers, and they became sick.

To detox your animal, I first recommend bentonite clay, a product that has been around for a long time. It is a natural chelator that absorbs toxins and eliminates them from the body. It works well for animals with ulcers, allergies, failure to thrive, arthritis, etc. I then suggest moving to a free-choice mineral supplement for horses and meat-based dog food for canines. Cats do well on turkey-based food. Just think about what your animal ate in the wild and you will understand why breads and treats are not good for them. It is not part of their natural design for food.

An example of using a combination of treatments is Molly, a Tennessee walking horse, who had a six-month history of yeast in her feet. She had been treated with Clorox soaks and formaldehyde painted on the hooves. When I first saw her, she could not be still on all four feet because they were so tender. I did the Animal BEST treatment on her and then asked to look at her feet. The owner was hesitant because Molly had been kicking out earlier when handling her feet. After the treatment, Molly let us pick up all four of her feet and apply tea tree oil to the frog of the hoof. She started on the bentonite clay daily and free-choice minerals that she could take when desired. She was also pasture fed. The only other product added was a DynaHoof to support increased hoof growth. Molly’s front feet healed in four weeks and her back feet healed in eight weeks.

Molly’s owner has been riding her every weekend now with no trouble. My total visits were four, plus three products and tea tree oil to help her return to health – not an expensive recovery. Organic products can be more expensive, but you end up saving money on other bills because your animal returns to health and stays healthy.

Looking at dogs, my family’s personal count is three; an Aussie/Border Collie mix who is chunky, a Border Collie who is thin, and a Golden Doodle puppy who is growing rapidly. They all get the same quantity and type of food, but each maintains a different weight according to genetic design. With BEST and NAET treatments, their coats become brighter, eyes clearer, and behavior calmer. These techniques reverse the vibrational frequency the animals are stuck in and assist the animal in healing. Emotional work can be done later if needed.

The bottom line is to remove toxins from your animal's energy field as you would for yourself. Change their diet according to their natural design. And watch the healing begin.
