Opening to the Spirit World

It was not until two years ago that I actually began to listen to the voice of the Spirit world. Until then, I had been determined to do everything myself, pushing onward and never stopping, struggling to understand my purpose. In college I constantly tried to meet society's demands and shifted from one major to another that would guarantee me money upon graduating, as that was what I was told I was "supposed" to do. Never did it occur to me to actually follow my heart and embrace my artistic abilities, as the idea of a "starving artist" was constantly floating through my conscious mind. My personal life reflected this same confusion, as I constantly tried to please other people, doing what they wanted and suggested; I felt like I had no say, no reason to follow my own guidance. I wanted all the puzzle pieces of my life to fit together to form a concise picture of how and what everything meant, yet they never completely fit. I constantly felt overwhelmed, agitated, and angry – like I was pushing a boulder up a hill, and it always came rolling back down.

One day I reached my boiling point of anger and confusion. I was tired of pleasing everyone, immensely frustrated with college, money, and my personal relationships. The world made no sense. I felt like I was a puppet in a show and quite frankly was tired of being yanked by my strings. On the verge of a nervous breakdown, I yelled out for help. I was screaming to God, the universe, or anyone that might hear my vast frustrations. Suddenly a voice inside my head said, "Calm down, it will be OK." I jumped back, startled and in awe. "You are pushing to hard and you need to listen," it said. The voice sounded very familiar but I could not place it. Was it my own voice? Could I possibly be talking to myself? Finally I asked who was speaking and got an immediate answer. It was my deceased grandmother who had passed three years ago. I had missed her dearly. In complete shock, sitting on the floor in my room, my pulse racing and mind whirling with astonishment, I asked more questions.

She proceeded to inform me Clairvoyantly of the reasons of her death and why she was with me guiding me from the other side. With the exception of seeing images in my intuition once in awhile and especially in the yoga classes I took, I was unfamiliar with contact in the Spirit world and felt like a stranger in a new land. It also came as a shock for me to see my grandmother in my mind's eye, hovering two feet above the ground with blonde hair, blue eyes, and in a brilliant, glowing red dress. She looked almost Angelic, with bright white and vivid colors streaming behind her. It was a moment of bliss as I realized that there is another world beyond this one and that it is very much real and connected to our own.

After this initial contact, my grandmother has proceeded to slowly introduce me to the Spirit world. I first was drawn to books and bookstores she helped me to stumble upon, and I allowed her to guide me to which merchandise to select. I knew She was always there guiding me. I then sought out teachers and others who were spiritually connected to open my mind further. I began to allow my true self to emerge bit by bit, and started to talk to other people about my spiritual experiences. Many of these people have become my dear friends, and always teach me more. I have learned so much and will continue to learn, for that is what helps us to grow. With the continued help of my grandmother as one of my Spirit guides, I have discovered my other guides and turn to them for help with any situation.

I also began an in-depth study of Angels, who are now my constant companions. I communicate with them everyday and ask for help and healing for myself and others. The Angels and my Spirit Guides have reconnected me to God or the Divine Light that encompasses everything and everyone. Through meditation with God, my Spirit Guides, and Angels, I have been taught how to open my Clairvoyance. It began as me seeing colors around people, which is known as the human Aura, or energy field. I could now look through my spiritual vision to see blue, red, yellow or a variety of color radiating around them. In books, I learned the meaning of the colors and can now tell peoples’ moods, emotions or general energy patterns as they stand in front of me or talk with me on the phone.

Slowly, day by day, I began to know things before they would happen and hear answers in my Clairvoyance to my questions. I started to ask the Angels and my Guides when I needed help, such as which way to go to find a close parking spot at a store, or what did I need to know about the up coming week. They would always provide an answer, either in the form of words in my head, images, a song, or sometimes a line from a movie. The Angels then started to appear to me as tall, glowing white Spiritual beings, with loving wings and uplifting energy. Through daily contact with my Angels and Guides I learned how to "tune in" to Divine Guidance and finally find my life purpose to work with people as a Spiritual Medium. With Spirit’s help, I have learned to let go of the past and embrace the future, and by allowing myself to open to their assistance, I can now tap into it to help others and myself.

God, the Angels, and your Spirit Guides are always willing to help you with an all-loving embrace. All one must do is ask for help and be open to receiving it, and so it is. By opening our Spiritual intuition to these loving beings, we are able to find peace, healing, and experience blessings of all kinds. There is no question or concern that can’t be answered through God’s, the Angels’ or your Spirit Guides’ help. Our connection to the world of Spirit is not some estranged thing; rather it is a normal part of who we are as Spiritual Beings ourselves. All a person needs to do is simply ask, sit quietly, listen and be grateful for Divine assistance, and rest assured your life will never be the same.
