Get YACtivated!

Thursday, April 17, 6:30pm at Earth Fare, 2965 Battleground Ave, Greensboro 369-0190

What in the World is YAC ? Evolutionary power tools, YACtivators, DeYACtivators, sticky imprints, labels.. and that's just the start! What does it all mean and how does it apply to me and my life?

YAC stands for Your Actual Container. It is your exterior body that can be viewed by the naked eye, that also reflects the intake of the contents (all the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual baggage of the individual) that cannot be seen by the naked eye. It is everything you have, inside and out, yours and things that others have "stuck" or pinned on you. This container can be altered at any moment in time by chance, luck, stress or by deliberate individual action.

YAC is a process that allows you to safely examine the holes in your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional self. Most of us try to fill those holes with food, alcohol, drugs, sex, work. YAC provides a set of tools to help you fill the holes more appropriately and permanently.

What are your holes? What needs to be WHOLE instead of a HOLE? Let's take a look tonight and see what's holding you back from being your true self. Life was meant to be fun! Discover the beauty of YOU. Discover YAC.

YAC™ WORKSHOP: APRIL 25, 26, 27. CAUTION: Your life will never be the same.

Treating Emotional Stress With Acupuncture

Thursday, May 15, 6:30pm at Earth Fare, 2965 Battleground Ave,
Greensboro 369-0190

Feeling emotionally stressed is an experience we all share at one time or another. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs can be vital tools with which to support emotional health and balance in our lives. In Chinese medicine emotions are an essential aspect of our overall health. Unbalanced emotions over a long period of time can lead to impairment of Qi (pronounced ‘Chee’), Blood and Yin. Qi is essentially the body’s energy system. If Qi is not flowing freely or is depleted or impaired in some way, then the emotions will be negatively affected. Blood is considered to be the physical basis for the ‘Shen’ or Spirit, which includes the emotional and mental aspect of our lives. If there is a disharmony with the Blood we don’t have the foundation needed for healthy, balanced emotions. Yin is essential to moisten and nourish our body and to ‘anchor’ our more ‘Yang’ or aggressive energies. Harmony of these aspects is necessary to foster emotional well-being. Likewise, if the emotions are not in balance, then our physical health may be negatively affected. Through proper acupuncture and herbal treatment both the physical and the emotional aspects of stressful emotions may be addressed.

If you would like to learn more about Acupuncture and Chinese herbs and how you or someone you know might benefit, then please come and discover this 4000 year old medicine.

Listening to the Animals
by Susan Scott-Downs

Thursday, June 5, 6:30pm at Earth Fare, 2965 Battleground Ave,
Greensboro 369-0190

Animals communicate with mental pictures that reveal what they like and don’t like. They know what is harming their bodies from an injury or illness and is undermining their sense of wellbeing, sounding an alarm if we are listening. Learn how these visual images and messages are intuitively “read” and interpreted so that you can truly hear what your devoted companion needs. Remember, before we can truly hear what our cherished pets are attempting to tell us, we do need to be aware that we will be the ones to make the required changes, not them! Our relationship with the animals in our lives can deepen as we respond lovingly and appropriately to their messages.

Rev. Susan Scott- Downs has over thirty years in inspiring and teaching various congregations as an ordained minister. Susan has been an intuitive “reader” for the Greyhound Rescue in Greensboro for the past four years. Because her faith tradition encourages the development of one’s intuition and healing powers, she brings a natural and deep spirituality to her sessions with you and your pet. Her calling and mission is to assist people in communicating with the animals in their lives so that they can provide the best care and companionship possible. Susan can be reached at 336-621-3226.
